3. Estrella to Najera

Day 6 of the walk ended in the small town of Los Arcos in the Province of Navarra, Spain. The next day we reached Logrono, a university city, population 130,000, the capital of the famous wine-growing region of La Rioja. Next comes Nájera with a population of about 7000; it has been occupied since Roman times. The name Nájera meaning "town between the rocks" is of Arabic origin.
